The hiking routes of Kuhankuono are situated in an area of exceptionally large coherent forest, rocks and ombrotropic raised bogs. The trails lead for example to the Vaskijärvi Natural Park, the Kurjenrahka National Park and the Pukkipalo primeval forest.

Presently the route ensemble also includes gateway trails south from Kuhankuono area all the way to the Ruissalo Island in Turku, and the loop trails of Kullaan polku and Karevan kierto in Masku, Rusko and Raisio. Versatile services provided by the local entrepreneurs are also within the reach of groups visiting the Kuhankuono area.
